School Rules & Regulations
At DR. K.N. Modi Global School, we uphold a culture of discipline, respect, and academic excellence. These rules are designed to create a safe, inclusive, and focused learning environment for all students. By enrolling at DKNMGS, students and parents agree to comply with all school policies as outlined below.
1. Appearance and Grooming
•Full school uniform must be worn daily as per prescribed guidelines.
•Uniforms should be clean, neatly ironed, and complete—including belts and ID cards.
•Only school-approved footwear is permitted. Colored socks, fancy shoes, or accessories are not allowed.
•Boys must maintain clean, well-trimmed hair. Trendy hairstyles or low-waist trousers are prohibited.
•Girls must avoid makeup, colored clips or hairbands, and jewelry. Long hair should be plaited; short hair must be pinned neatly.
No jewellery is permitted except for small earrings.
2. Identity & Attendance
•All students must carry their valid school ID card daily.
•Students must arrive at least 5 minutes before the official start time.
•Entry will not be permitted 10 minutes after school begins.
•A minimum of 75% attendance is required to appear in Half-Yearly and Annual Examinations, as per CBSE norms.
•Leave requests must be recorded in the school almanac. Leaves over one day require written approval from the Coordinator.
•Medical leaves must be supported by a valid certificate. Infectious illnesses require a fitness certificate upon return.
•No leave will be granted on test days without Principal’s approval.
3. Conduct and Discipline
•Students are expected to behave respectfully toward teachers, staff, and peers at all times.
•All students must participate in school activities, unless formally excused.
•Any form of disrespect, dishonesty, or misbehavior will invite disciplinary action.
•Students must not loiter in corridors or frequently leave class without valid permission.
•Birthday celebrations must be modest. Only small toffees (max. two per student) are allowed—cakes and gifts are not permitted.
•Students must not leave school premises during school hours without prior written permission from the Principal.
•Outside tuition must not be taken without prior approval from the Principal.
Prohibited Behaviors:
•Skipping classes, morning assembly, or mandatory events
•Vandalism or damage to school property (will result in fines and disciplinary action)
•Use or possession of banned items (e.g., objectionable content, gadgets, media)
•Involvement in fights, use of drugs, alcohol, smoking, or theft will lead to immediate expulsion
•Leaving school or running away will be treated as a serious violation
Disciplinary Measures:
•A Warning Card may be issued for misconduct; valid for 3 days and requires parental acknowledgment.
•Three accumulated Warning Cards will result in minimum 3-day suspension.
•Students under disciplinary review will be ineligible for school trips, awards, or scholarships.
•Late Arrival Policy: Five late arrivals will prompt a parent notification; ten will result in a Yellow Card and further action.
4. Anti-Bullying Policy
We enforce a Zero Tolerance policy against all forms of bullying.
Prohibited Acts:
•Physical or verbal aggression
•Teasing, intimidation, coercion, or threats
•Discrimination of any form
•Sharing inappropriate or explicit digital content
•Cyberbullying or possession of offensive media
•Public displays of affection (PDA)
Support and Enforcement:
•All incidents must be reported immediately.
•Violators may face suspension or rustication.
•Counseling support is available for both victims and offenders, with parental involvement.
•The school promotes a culture of respect, inclusion, and empathy.
5. Anger-Free School Initiative
As part of CBSE’s initiative, DKNMGS is committed to being an Anger-Free Zone:
•All members of the school community are expected to model calm, respectful behavior.
•Emotional well-being, resilience, and peaceful conflict resolution are actively promoted.
•The school opposes fear-based or humiliating disciplinary approaches.
6. Use of Personal and Digital Items
•Strictly Prohibited: Mobile phones, smartwatches, music players, iPads, iPods, cameras, or any other electronic gadgets.
•Such items, if brought to school, will be confiscated without return.
•Bringing vehicles (two-wheelers or four-wheelers) to school is not allowed.
•Students are prohibited from unauthorized financial dealings or organizing events under the school name.
7. Safety, Security, and Property
•Students are accountable for the safekeeping of their personal belongings.
•Any damage to school property will incur a fine and disciplinary action.
•No books, newspapers, CDs, or printed/digital materials may be brought to school without the Principal's permission.
•Students must conduct themselves with dignity both inside and outside school premises.
8. Library Use
•The school has a well-equipped library.
•No external books, magazines, or media may be brought in without prior approval.
•Students are expected to follow all library usage rules and maintain silence and decorum.
9. Parent Interaction Guidelines
•Parents may not meet teachers or students during school hours without prior approval from the Principal/Vice Principal.
•Presentations, gifts, or demonstrations in honor of staff members are strictly not permitted.
•Parents are encouraged to monitor their child’s diary regularly and support the school's disciplinary and academic efforts.
10. Final Authority
•The Principal’s decision is final in all matters relating to discipline, academics, and administration.
•The school reserves the right to amend rules and policies in alignment with CBSE guidelines and evolving educational standards.
